When to travel to Australia?
A lot of people have many different opinons on when you should travel to Australia. But because of Australias huge size, it’s impossible to say then and then is the best time to go. When it’s good weather in the north, it’s bad in the south and so on.The most common answer is still January to April. It’s the summer months of Australia and therefor have a good temperature and a good weather. The best place to be in summer is the middle and southern parts of Australia. How many dollars do I need in my daily budget?
All though Australia isn’t the cheapest place in the world, it’s generally good for a backpacking standard, at least compared to western and central Europe. If you only stick to Hostels for accomadtion you wil generally spend around $18-$25 in the larger cities and $15-20 to less touristy places. You can keep your food budget low if you stick to buying groceries from super market and cook yourself for $15-$20 a day. Eating dinner out generally costs from $8-$15 in cheap restaurants. For other activities and daily transport you should also set off $20 per day. It’s plenty of free things to see and do, but alcohol will still rob you!If we add this entire up, we end on about $60 per day. You should add from $15 to $20 to your daily budget for the big cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. All though Perth and Cairns are big cities as well, they tend to be quite cheap compared to the others.
